The transmediale Award and Vilém Flusser Theory Award 2011 Call for Entries is now open! The Award competitions seek outstanding entries that exemplify visionary, adventurous and critical forms of digital expression, interaction, and collaborative practice. Entries from countries and regions in which digital art and culture are emergent are encouraged, as are positions that enrich our understanding of, and relationship to, technology and networked society.

The Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival announces its 27th edition! From November 9 to 14, 2010 the festival shows the diversity and current tendencies of documentary work by presenting about 230 international documentary films as well as experimental and artistic works.
Since 1993, every two years the festival has been reconnoitering and conquering a region or a locality in Upper Austria. Away from the metropolises and cultural centers, a program offering contemporary art and culture for the residents of the chosen region is shaped and communicated. What is it that sets an art biennial apart from other official events.
