Data to the People: Conference Proceedings
Overview
The Hybrid City conference focused on urban data, citizens’ empowerment and innovative city design practices. It explored how digital technologies and data-driven techniques can change urban areas to be more responsive to their residents. Conference proceedings also affirmed the significance of bringing together digital infrastructures and real physical spaces to promote new forms of participation, collaboration and creativity among citizens. The goal of this merger of digital and real spaces is to create more liveable, environmental-friendly and sustainable urban ecosystems through empowering citizens by means of opening data for them.
NeMe has participated in the conference and contributed the “A Hybrid Local-Remote Interactive Sound Installation” text to the book.
