VFFF seeks to find, exhibit and award films that explore aspects of gender, gender roles & identities. Subjects include gender equity, gender non-stereotypes, relationships, feminist and lgbtiq themes.
Eligibility
- VFFF accepts narrative, documentary, animation and experimental films and videos of all lengths by artists of all gender identities (female, male, non-defining, gender variant…). Only parameter is that the submitted films and videos are discussing gender issues.
- Films and videos must have been completed no earlier than January 1, 2010.
- If the original film or video is in a language other than English, then film must have hardcore subtitles in English.
- Acceptable formats for exhibition are: MiniDV, DVD and Beta SP Pal.
- Online submission form must be completed. File with submission details will be generated; please print it out, sign it and send it with the film on address provided in the submission form. Package must specify “no commercial value – for cultural purposes”
- Acceptable format for preview is DVD. DVDs must be labelled with film title.
You will be notified of Festival selections by October 1st, 2012.

Vox Feminae Film Award: Audience votes will decide on $500 cash prize.
