Power Lines is an exhibition that brings together experimental and artistic works that examine the far-reaching impacts of the green energy transition on landscapes, communities and ways of living. The exhibition confronts the transition’s broken promises while also investigating what an energy future that respects our planet’s finite resources might look like.

Limassol, the Smart City imaginary, and the political unconscious of an imminent ecological crisis

A critical talk about Limassol’s ambition to become a “smart and climate-neutral city by 2030” stages, in miniature, the central contradiction of the global smart city imaginary: a discourse of frictionless, data-optimised urban futures that is constantly outrun by the concrete, sedimented ecological crises it claims to resolve.

EMAP Residencies 2027
Deadline: Friday, 6 November 2026
An open call for two months residencies in one of 15 host institutions. EMAP invites artists, artist duos, collectives, and other collaborations working in digital, media, robotic, and bio art to apply for a production residency at one of the host institutions across Europe in 2027.
Every applicant works with a collaborating partner — already on board, or found along the way.
Included: €4,000 for the applying artist, €2,000 for the collaborating partner, a separate €4,000 production budget, free accommodation, and access to the host institution’s studios and labs. Selected work can travel further through EMAP’s network of 150+ partner institutions and joins EMAP’s permanent media art archive.
Mesaoría

Organised by Dance House Lemesos, and conceived by Elias Klark, Mesaoría is a compound of multiple creative disciplines around performance – sound, video, light, and body create the configuration of one extensive live installation within the NeMe Arts Center. It refers to an area in central Cyprus situated between the mountain chain of Pendaktylos and Troodos, and it is a place signified by the crossing of the Green Line.
