We are pleased to invite submissions for the Videodansa, Barcelona Prize, the international competition held as part of IDN – Image, Dance and New media.

The competition accepts audiovisual works where dance, choreographic language, body and movements are the main subjects. We are specially interested in works that investigate in the audiovisual language the research of new narratives and the choreographic creation thought to be seen at the screen.

All selected works will be screened as part of the dance film program within the IDN festival, which will be held from the 8th to the 11th of January at the Mercat de les Flors and CaixaForum, Barcelona.

An international jury will award a prize of €4,000 to the best international dance film, and will propose a list of maximum 12 works that will form part of different remunerated diffusion programs.

The deadline for submissions is October 31st, 2008.
