Stelarc for the first time in Cyprus at Artos Foundation

ARTos Foundation in cooperation with the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education and Culture, present Stelarc.

The event will take place at ARTos Foundation (64 Ag. Omologites Ave, Nicosia) on Friday the 17th of February 2006, at 20:00. It will include a screening of clips from the artist’s performances, pictures and animations of his work, a discussion (in English) about the underlying principles of his work and the significance of the notion of empty bodies and loss of identity and consciousness, and additionally a live performance of “PROSTHETIC HEAD“and the “;MUSCLE STIMULATION SYSTEM,” The event will end with the honorary award which will be given to Stelarc for his contribution in the fields of Art and Technology.
