Centro Cultural Montehermoso – 2010 Art and Research Call

Montehermoso presents the Art and Research call, the aim being to facilitate the production, diffusion and exhibition of contemporary art projects. Aid is offered for:

  • the Production of contemporary art projects,
  • Curatorship, the Research and development of a cinema script.

Within the Investigation section, a minimum of one of the call aid packages will be devoted to projects relating to the development of a Feminist Art Historiography within the Spanish State.

The objective of this competition is to select a maximum of eight art creation projects currently in preproduction or production, and present them within the annual program of Montehermoso during the second four-month period of 2011.

Authors of any nationality, regardless of age, can present their projects individually or collectively. A representative shall be appointed in the case of group projects.

The Centro Cultural Montehermoso is dependent on the Department of Culture of the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council and can be defined as a space for the production, exhibition, and difussion of art and contemporary thought. Among its main objectives, we should stand out the implementation of gender equality policies.

Montehermoso is located in the old town of Vitoria-Gasteiz, in a 16th century Renaissance palace joined to the old 1885 Water Tank by an underground corridor
