Art Funding and Politics

From the 2nd to the 30th of November, NeMe members Helene Black and Yiannis Colakides will be moderating the thematic discussion in the —empyre list Art Funding and Politics.

We welcome your contribution especially if you have been affected by the current funding cuts in the arts made by various governments and funding bodies. We consider your views and experiences regarding this subject very important.

Those who wish to add to the discussion should join here. Once a member you can send an email using Art Funding and Politics in the subject line.

Our invited discussants are: Denise Robinson (UK), Iannis Zannos (GR), Antonis Danos (CY) and Bill Balaskas (UK).

—empyre facilitates critical perspectives on contemporary cross-disciplinary issues, practices and events in networked media by inviting guests -key new media artists, curators, theorists, producers and others to participate in thematic discussions.
