52nd International Short Film Festival Oberhausen - Call for entries


Event dates, 4 – 9 May 2006

The 52nd International Short Film Festival Oberhausen will take place from 4 to 9 May, 2006. The festival is now calling for entries to its competitions, on the lookout for film or video works by filmmakers who aren’t afraid to venture off the beaten track and are looking for an opportunity to present their works to the international short film scene and the audience.

Submissions are possible to the following competitions

International Competition

  • open to film and video formats with a maximum length of 35 minutes
  • awards totalling €24,000

German Competition

  • open to film and video formats with a maximum length of 45 minutes
  • awards totalling €7,500

Children’s and Youth Film Competition

  • format and length as for International and German Competitions
  • awards totalling €2,000 (conferred by two juries of children and young people)

The MuVi Award for the best German music video has its own set of regulations and entry form.

Preview formats: VHS, S-VHS, DVD

Films and videos can also be submitted online through the international submission platform www.reelport.com!

Entry forms will be available as pdf-file downloads from October at www.kurzfilmtage.de.
