PRAGUE BIENNALE 3

PRAGUE BIENNALE, has by now become a much anticipated appointment in the art world in general and particularly in Central Europe. It will be on view from May 24th until September 16th 2007. The venue of this event will be in its signature location where it was hosted last year: in the magnificent post-industrial space of Karlin Hall, this year radically transformed thanks to the futuristic modifications of Getulio Alviani. The theme that binds the PRAGUE BIENNALE 3 is Glocal & Outsiders, giving a survey of local cultural positions framed through an international lens.

Lyon Biennial 2007

There are now 103 biennials around the world, mapping news that is growing exponentially, apparently renewable at will, and interchangeable. Flux is prevailing over singularity. One hundred and three biennials, 103 lists of artists, 103 titles… a biennial opens roughly every three days, and they cover one another.

53 International Short Film Festival Oberhausen

Oberhausen will take place from 3 to 8 May, 2007. Oberhausen is one of the major international crossroads for the short form, unique in the range of forms and genres it presents to the public, and particularly well known for its spotlight on experimentation. Oberhausen attracts both cinema operators and gallery owners, artists and distributors, filmmakers and festival representatives, curators and video clip directors.

 

IDEODROME 2006

Artists from various disciplines will present six audiovisual works created on digital video about Limassol, its people and its streets.

 

documenta 12
