OK. Video Festival 2011 conceives flesh as a metaphor of biological entity of the human body that transforms into digital entity (images, sounds, texts) through the advancement of audiovisual technology. It also represents video that progressively shows its organic characters: grow in virtual sphere across the dimensional and temporal boundaries, metamorphoses into various medium and consistently reproduces itself by the reason of virality. This phenomena is continuously celebrated by the contemporary society within the progression of information and communication technology.

For the 28th time the Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival will present the diversity of regional, national and international documentary work in all its variation.
The Ambiant Creativity Summer Workshop in Digital Arts 2011 combines art projects of the participants with lectures and exercises on techniques of animation, real time sound processing and interaction. The workshop will take place at the independent culture center “Polytechno” in Corfu from the 15th to the 30th of July. The workshop is addressed to students as well as artists who want to develop their skills in the use of open source software for animation and sound such as Processing, SuperCollider, openFrameworks, Blender3D and SuperCollider, but other widely used software will also be used, such as After Effects, Flash Studio, Pencil Plus and others. Both beginners and more advanced users are accepted, and the teaching schedule includes coaching for individual projects by the participants.
Organizing committee of international triennial of ceramics unicum 2012 within ZDSLU (Association of the Slovene Fine Arts Societies) and in cooperation with European Cultural and Technological Centre (EKTC) Maribor is setting up II. International Triennial of Ceramics Unicum 2012 and parallel events all over Slovenia. The emphasis is on popularization as well as presentation of contemporary ceramics as an independent area in the field of artistic creation. Triennial is connection between international and Slovene space and it gives fresh insight into artistic ceramics. The 2012 edition of transmediale explores the theme of in/compatible. tm.12 postulates that incompatible beings drive the logic of contemporary cultural production. We understand in/compatible beings as aesthetic things and processes that do not necessarily connect on the terms we are used to. The festival wants to raise the question of what happens when such incompatible beings are brought to the fore rather than hidden away in the dark underbelly of digital culture?
Fifty international artists take part in the 6th Momentum Biennial entitled Imagine Being Here Now opening on Saturday 18 June.
