Legacy

Though the years NeMe had a few projects that have now become defunct.

IMCA

IMCA, hosted at neme-imca.org was an itinerant project, founded and administered by NeMe from 2006-2013, in order to present exhibitions, performances, new media events, symposia etc. The form of the IMCA was determined as a practice or process by the nature of each project with the notion of the exhibition “space” being constantly revised and redefined. IMCA had no permanent residence, but instead was organised in a decentralised manner and realised its projects in cooperation with other cultural institutions. IMCA was active from 2006 to 2014, at which year we have established the NeMe Arts Centre. The contents of the domain is now in the Projects section of this website.

NeMe Forum

The NeMe Forum, hosted on forum.neme.org was active from 24/06/2006-7/11/2025. It was conceived as a replacement of the Manifesta 6 forum which was about to discontinue because of a dispute between the curators, and the national and local authorities of the Republic of Cyprus. The forum was very active for about a year, and after that, it served as an announcement board for and by the arts community. The forum is now archived in the Way Back Machine.

news.neme.org

news.neme.org, previously on www.neme.org/main/, was a sub-domain used by NeMe to announce calls, arts information, and publish texts. The content of the subdomain is now in the Blog and Texts sections of this website.

Respublika!

respublika.neme.org was a subdomain created especially for one of our projects. Its content can now be found in this website.

reBlog

Residing on www.neme.org/reblog/out/ reBlog, developed by Eyebeam, was a software we used from 2008-2010. Its purpose was to automate some of the processes of posting arts information not directly relevant to our website or our audiences utilising RSS or ATOM feeds. After extensive experimentation with it, we opted to concentrate on directly relevant content.

state-machines.eu

state-machines.eu was a website specially created for the State Machines Creative Europe project. Its content was populated between 2017-2019, at which year the project ended. The domain remained active until 2024, at which year it was moved to aksioma.org/statemachines/. The contributions by NeMe to the project can still be found there, but more details about our projects, as well as updated video links, can be found on this website.
