After great international success in 2007, ARTPORT_making waves is launching its second short video contest, COOL STORIES FOR WHEN THE PLANET GETS HOT II, in partnership with Bridge Art Fair and the Spanish Foundation InspirArte.
Tell us your cool story about LIFE IN A WORLD AFFECTED BY GLOBAL WARMING in a short animation or real life video and win a 3-month residency in Valencia, Spain. Artists from all over the world are encouraged to participate, in particular from areas that are most affected by Climate Change. An international jury of art professionals will select the 20 finalists and the final winner.
If you are among the 20 selected artists, your work will be shown at an Award Ceremony at Bridge Art Fair Basel, June 10-14, 2009. The winner will be awarded a 3-month residency at La Alqueria de los Artistas in Valencia, Spain, a brand new artist residency by the Foundation InspirArte located in a nature reserve on the Mediterranean sea.
ARTPORT_making waves is an international arts exchange project based in Valencia, Spain, and New York City. Our projects bring together artists worldwide through residency programs, collaborations, and travel exhibitions while promoting the cross-fertilization of art, science, media, and politics. The collaborative programs will bring forward new and exciting ways to create awareness of current global issues and inspire positive changes across borders.
