Call for Applications for the

The artists to participate in the 11th International İstanbul Biennial will be determined by What, How & for Whom / WHW, the curators of the exhibition. WHW continues to carry out research both in Turkey and abroad with this objective.

Each applicant is supposed to send the fulfilled Project Proposal Submission Form, CV and a maximum of three project proposals relating to the exhibition’s concept, which is announced with the title ‘What Keeps Mankind Alive?’.

The applications should be received by the Biennial latest on January 30th, 2009. For sending soft copies of the project proposals, the e-mail address is application.ist.biennial@iksv.org.

Final invitations to the participating artists will be sent by the end of June 2009 and all applicants will receive an answer regarding their project proposal by this date.
Please do not send any portfolios and consider that International Istanbul Biennial is unable to return any material received.
