Call for submissions
The International Short Film Festival Oberhausen: this is short film in its most concentrated form. Some 450 films are screened in six days, with around 1,100 accredited industry professionals – filmmakers, festival programmers, curators, buyers, journalists and distributors from nearly 50 different countries – flocking to Oberhausen for this annual event. They appreciate the short routes between venues, the opportunity to discover completely new works in the competitions or to rediscover old favourites in the thematic programmes, the close contact with the audience, intensive discussions and long nights.

Oberhausen once again invites those with the courage to venture something new to submittheir films.

The entry requirements for the 55th International Short Film Festival Oberhausen:

NEW: International entries are only eligible if they have not been shown at any other German festival before Oberhausen.
Preview copies are only accepted on DVD (with the exception of submissions via reelport.com).

DVDs are not accepted as screening prints.
