The 5th bienal do Mercosul announced that Paulo Sergio Duarte was to be the curator of the 5th Mercosul Visual Arts Biennial.
Paulo Sergio announced the names of Gaudêncio Fidélis as assistant curator, and of Amílcar de Castro as artist of honour. Paulo Sergio is a critic, writer and lecturer in the History of Art, who researches in the Centre of Applied Social Studies at the Universidade Cândido Mendes, and lectures in the Theory and History of Art at the Parque Lage School of Visual Arts in Rio de Janeiro. He is also a curator of the Iberê Camargo Foundation.
