Ethnomusicology Review - Fall 2012

http://www.neme.org/blog/ethnomusicology-review-fall-2012

Ethnomusicology Review is seeking submissions for its next annual volume, scheduled for publication in Fall 2012. As an online, refereed Open Access journal, EMR moves beyond the constraints of print journals and allows authors to rethink how they use media to present their work. We encourage submissions that make use of video, audio, color photographs, and interactive media. Submissions of documentary videos or video/audio essays as peer-reviewed publications are also welcomed.

Ethnomusicology Review welcomes submissions not only from ethnomusicology, but also systematic musicology, historical musicology, anthropology, dance ethnology, cultural studies, folklore, sociology, law, and area studies. EMR is currently accepting contributions in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and other languages on a case-by-case basis.

Text-based submissions should be attached to an email in .doc format. Media should be included as separate attachments, not embedded in the Word document. We also accept files on CD-R and DVD. It is the contributor’s responsibility to obtain permissions for any copyrighted materials. For complete submission guidelines, please visit EMR online.
