Submissions Exhibition Program 2011 for artists, curators and organisations

The Hellenic Centre for Photography invites submissions for the Athens Photo Festival 2011 exhibition program. The HCP accepts proposals from established or emerging artists, galleries, curators and organisations world-wide. in all areas of contemporary photography practices and forms, ranging from art and documentary photography to photographic installations, film and video.

The selected works will be exhibited in the upcoming Αthens Photo Festival, which takes place in Athens during the months of October and November.

Theme This year’s festival theme under the title “Reality Check” brings together a wide range of artistic approaches, moving between differing levels of truth and imagination in contemporary photography.

Each proposal should contain 10-20 images from one developed body of work. These works can be about “Reality Check” or work unrelated to this year’s festival theme.

Submission Process

All artists interested to propose their work for the Athens Photo Festival 2011 must fill out and submit a participation form, along with their images and/or videos. Proposals will be submitted through the online submission system or send by mail on CD/DVD.

Printed material will not be accepted with the exception of books or catalogues send by post as additional material. Please consider that the Athens Photo Festival will not able to send back any received material.

Participants may submit up to three projects – please complete a separate application for each project submitted.
