OFFF is presenting the fifth edition of the international digital art and electronic music festival, OFFF. These are the main novelties for this edition:
This is an invitation by the ISEA2006 Symposium and ZeroOne San Jose: A Global Festival of Art on the Edge to groups and individuals to submit proposals for an installation of augmented furniture, audio/video/software installations and interactive artwork for The C4F3 (The Cafe) during the ISEA2006/ZeroOne from August 5-13, 2006. The goal of The C4F3 is to create an active ambient space of augmented everyday objects that is not just an art gallery, a restaurant, or a chill space, but a new kind of project space where the whole environment has been rethought in terms of the capabilities of current technology. This Call for Proposals is an invitation to artists, designers and technologists to propose existing work for exhibition and/or use within the café and new projects that support this goal.
The latest exhibition (Larnaca, April 2005) of works by Cypriot artist Lefteris Olympios consists mainly of six large canvases. These pictures, made between 1993 and 1994, and originally arranged as two triptychs, were part of the Apokathilosi (Deposition) group, but were not included in the original exhibition of the works in Athens, in 1995.
Montréal, Tuesday, April 12, 2005 – For its 6th edition, Elektra is still set on introducing works and artists that crossbreed leading electronic music and visual art. Again this year, Elektra creates links between creative media rooted in audio, video, film, design and interactive installations, in conjunction with the latest digital technologies. To breathe new life into the term audio-visual (A/V) – now obsolete in our multimedia era – Elektra selected outstanding works that demonstrate in many forms the increasingly indissociable relationship between sound and image. From May 10 to 15, hook up your senses to the digital!
