30th Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival
The 30th Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival is looking for current films, installation concepts and proposals for audiovisual performances and VJ-Sets.
We now invite all filmmakers, artists, VJs, distributors, producers, gallery owners, universities or institutions to submit their most current works and projects for the 30. Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival .
From the selection up to 60 works will be nominated for three of the four prizes of the festival. All works chosen and presented in the exhibition Monitoring are automatically nominated for the award for the best media installation.
We are looking for current films, installation concepts and proposals for audiovisual performances and VJ-Sets from the years 2012 and 2013. There is no restriction concerning the length of the submitted work.
Each work to be submitted has to be registered with a separate and filled out entry form. Every director, author or artist may submit a maximum of ve works to the dierent sections of the Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival. e submitted works should be current productions of the years 2012 or 2013. To be complete, each application must include a short synopsis, a biography and a lmography in the form of a hard copy. e preview copy must be submitted on a separate DVD (PAL or NTSC). In exceptional cases a link or download for preselection viewing will be accepted.
If you have not uploaded images at the online submission form, please send stills on CD / DVD along with the preview copy (DVD in PAL or NTSC) to the address of Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival.
In case the original version is neither in English nor in German, the work should be subtitled in English or German or accompanied by a text list in English. For installation and performance proposals we need a detailed project sketch and estimated costs for realization, a list of the technical requirements as well as a video documentation and photographs, if available.
