Cyprus Poster Triennial 2019
 
 

On Friday 28 June at 8:30pm, we would like to invite you at the NeMe Arts Centre for the opening of the first international Cyprus Poster Triennial (CPT).

The international Cyprus Poster Triennial (CPT) is a non-profit institution that aims to promote and disseminate knowledge and creativity in the field of graphic design, by focusing on the poster as a major medium of visual communication. It is an initiative by Evripides Zantides, Omiros Panayides, and Savvas Xinaris, professors and practitioners of graphic and visual communication. The exhibition will be open from the 28th of June until the 30th of July 2019 at NeMe Arts Centre in Limassol. The event is organised by the Semiotic and Visual Communication Research Lab of the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts at the Cyprus University of Technology. The Cyprus Poster Triennial 2019 open call has received 2410 posters from 53 countries. After a double, blind reviewed selection process, only 134 posters were accepted to participate. The Designer’s Backpack

As part of its support for the Triennial, on Saturday 6 July, 2019 at 6:30pm, the Department of Arts and Communications of Frederick University presents The Designer’s Backpack a series of talks and presentations that aim to underline and explain a recent shift towards freelancing and self-initiated / collective business models in the Cypriot visual communication scene.

The Designer’s Backpack will present five professional visual practitioners who will describe the current challenges and opportunities they face in their field. They will share their stories and thoughts on how to move, act, and develop an idea / a project / a business model that can be efficient and effective in a constantly changing and evolving market.

Presentations and talks will be in Greek and they will be delivered by
