Now in its 12th year, Art Athina was established by the Hellenic Art Galleries Association to promote and develop contemporary art in Greece and beyond. The exhibition, at the old Athinai (Hellinikon) Airport, includes painting, installations, sculpture, video art and photography. Over 60 galleries are represented, from Greece, Cyprus, elsewhere in Europe and the USA.
As well as the art displays, the exhibition hosts a Greek and international review section, a bookstore and a Collectors Programme involving museum directors, art critics and art collectors from Europe and the USA.
